The staff at Mambi Tours is specialized in preparing people-to-people cultural exchanges for travelers originating their travel from the United States, and who wish to travel in compliance with current federal regulations relating to travel to Cuba. We can prepare custom tour packages for a couple, or a group of thirty, and anything in between. We have lodging available in a wide variety of Bed & Breakfasts in Cuba, and we also have access to every hotel on the island. We offer tour packages that include a car and driver, whether it is a modern passenger car or van, or a classic American car with air conditioning.

All of our services include a professional English speaking guide who will accompany you for the duration of your stay.

The group will be staying at a Bed & Breakfast, and will be accompanied by a driver and guide during their stay, or when possible an English speaking driver/guide. Guides are all professional, English speaking, and employed with one of the three following Cuban tourism bureaus; Ecotur, San Cristobal, or AMISTUR. Transportation will be provided by late model, air conditioned cars, or classic American cars with air conditioning, for groups transportation will be in 8-15 passenger vans and mini-vans manufactured by Peugeot, Citroen, and Ford E250s.

    • Meet & greet with guide and driver at airport.

    • 3:30pm Driving City Tour of Havana, including a drive along the famous Havana “malecon” seawall, Vedado neighborhood, 5th Avenue in the suburb of Miramar, and stops at the Plaza of the Revolution, and Almendares Park. (2-3 hours)

    • 9:00am City Encounter of Havana, a walking tour through Old Havana and its five main plazas, with stops at the residence of the colonial era Captain General of the island, the Havana Cathedral, Obispo Street, the Capitol building, and more. Most of our guests in Cuba start their cultural exchanges with a walking tour of Old Havana. This event is directed by one of our professional English speaking guides, and gives you a taste of the island in a very interesting tour, that feels as if you have gone back in time. Old Havana has buildings and streets that are some of the oldest in the Americas, with some buildings dating to the 17th century. Though the buildings are hundreds of years old, they are still used to house a significant number of Havana’s inhabitants. Old Havana features the first church built on the island, a street paved with wooden bricks, palatial residences, and much more! Old Havana is one of the largest, oldest, and most authentic colonial areas in Latin America. (3.5 hours)
    • Lunch at private restaurant.
    • 2:00pm Hemingway encounter, visit the places Ernest Hemingway regularly frequented, including “La Finca Vigia,” and “La Terraza de Cojimar” Restaurant. Includes the Gregorio Fuentes walking tour of the town of Cojimar, which was the inspiration for the novel “The Old Man and the Sea.” This event also includes visits to room 511 at the Ambos Mundos Hotel, where Hemingway stayed and wrote, and a stop at “La Bodeguita del Medio” and the Floridita bars. This encounter is a must for any Hemingway fan, and covers some of the most productive and interesting years of the famous writer’s life. The tour is wide ranging, going from Old Havana, to the suburb of Miramar, and the southern end of Havana.

    • 9:00pm Visit to “La Fabrica de Arte Cubana,” for live music and art exposition.
    • 9:00pm Live Jazz at Jazz Café Miramar or other venue.

    • 1:00pm Arrive at B&B in Trinidad.
    • 2:00pm Walking city tour of Trinidad, which was founded in 1514, and has some of Latin America’s best preserved colonial era houses. Trinidad is considered the jewel of Cuba, and is the island best preserved colonial era town. Its wonderful people and beautiful surroundings set it apart from any other destination in the Caribbean. Many of its narrow streets are paved with the original bricks that are hundreds of years old. Tour includes stops at the “Plaza Mayor,” the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Plaza Santa Ana and “Tres Cruces,” the Palace of Count Brunet which currently houses the “Museo Romantico,” the lookout that with sweeping views of the city, and more. A unique experience in a special town that visitors to Cuba should not miss. (4 hours)

    • Live music at Casa de la Musica Trinidad.

    • Transfer to the Bay of Pigs in Matanzas province.
    • Bay of Pigs Experience, this includes a short discussion of the events leading up to the invasion of the Bay of Pigs in April 1961, and a visit to the invasion museum. This event will allow guests to visit the area where the Bay of Pigs invasion occurred in 1961, and the surrounding area. A visit to the invasion museum is also included, and depending upon the schedule a short presentation by an actual witness to or combatant in the event will be given. A must for any American visiting the island! (3 hours)
    • Lunch at private restaurant.
    • Tour of the Zapata Swamp. This tour allows guests to see one of Cuba’s most pristine natural habitats, and its largest swamp which is home to the Cuban Crocodile. Depending on schedule the Tour will include a visit to a crocodile farm, a major flamingo breeding area, and some of Cuba’s most pristine coastal habitat. (2 hours)
    • Dinner at private restaurant.
    • Settle into B&B.

    • 7:00am Transfer to the Valley of Vinales.
    • Lunch at private restaurant.
    • 4:00pm Arrive at Vinales, and settle into B&B.
    • Discover the UNESCO protected “Valle de Vinales,” and its unique rock formations. Tour includes a visit to the “Guayabita del Pinar” rum factory, and the “Mirador de los Jazmines.” You will have the choice of either hiking through the Valley, or going on horseback. (3 hours)
    • Dinner at private restaurant.

  • • Breakfast at B&B.
    • 8:00am Your tour of Vinales continues today with a visit to “la Casa del Veguero,” (the cigar makers home), and “la Cueva del Indio” (the Indians Cave). Tour ends with a visit to the prehistoric mural which illustrates the evolution of life in the surrounding “Sierra de los Organos” Mountains.
    • Lunch at private restaurant and transfer to Havana.
    • Arrive in Havana, and settle into B&B.
    • 5:00pm Visit to “La Lavanderia,” the studio and workshop of Cuban painter and sculptor Rafael Perez Alonso. (2 hours)
    • Dinner at private restaurant.
    • 10:00pm Live entertainment at the world-renowned Tropicana Cabaret.
